ENID — Funeral for Clarence Eugene Barker, 74, of Enid, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at Enid First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Mel Masengale and Rev. Matthew Thoms officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Clarence was born April 29, 1936, to Granville Gatie and Edna May (Shaeffer) Barker in Pawhuska and died Saturday, Dec.11, 2010, in Enid at his home.

Clarence attended Pawhuska grade school, and Edmond Junior High and High School.

On Feb. 15, 1957, he married Janett McMonigle in Guthrie.

He served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1961. They made their home in Waukomis in 1965 and moved to Enid in 1982. Clarence owned Oilfield Plastics for over 35 years. He was a member of Enid First Assembly of God Church.

Clarence is survived by his wife Janett; two sons, Perry Barker and Rex Barker, both of Enid; a goddaughter, Shayne Rice of Ponca City; two brothers, Russell Barker of Edmond and Clifford Barker of Enid; and two sisters, Pauline Weese of Edmond and Judy Sparks of Norman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Robert Dale Barker.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, cancer division.
