Waukomis Cemetery


ENID, Okla. — Funeral service honoring the life of Lendoll J. Bagshaw will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Samuel Farris will officiate. Burial will be at Waukomis Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the United States Army. Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Lendoll was born Dec. 7, 1930, to Lowell and Leona (Joy) Bagshaw in Beaver, Okla., and passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014, in Enid, Okla.

He grew up in Beaver and later moved to North Enid. He graduated from Kremlin High School in 1951.

He retired sergeant 1st class from the United States Army after 33 years of service.

He worked for Boeing, Beechcraft and Cessna in Wichita, Kan., Vance Air Force Base, city of Enid and Henry LaForce.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Nash. He loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his wife, Leona of Enid; daughters, Desdive of Enid, and Joylene Estenson and husband Howard of Enid; sons, Edward Bagshaw of Enid, Danny Bagshaw of Enid, Terry Bagshaw of Hennessey, and Leslie Bagshaw and wife Mildred of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents and one brother.

Memorials may be given to American Heart Association with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.

The funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Leona M. Bagshaw, 80, of Enid will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday August 1, 2016 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Micheal Frisbie officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukomis cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Leona was born March 9, 1936 to Jerry J. and Rose Wirth Milacek. She graduated from Waukomis High School in 1954. She married Lendoll J. Bagshaw on August 14, 1956. She worked at the Vance Officer’s Club and for Woolsworth for 25 years. She was a good cook and her family was very important to her. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nash.

Leona survivors include her daughters, Desdive Bagshaw of Enid, Joylene Estenson and husband Howard of Enid; sons, Edward Bagshaw of Enid, Danny Bagshaw of Enid, Terry Bagshaw of Hennessey, Leslie Bagshaw & wife Mildred of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Leona was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
