A graveside service for Bernice B. Anderson, 97, will be 11 AM Monday in the Waukomis Cemetery with the Rev. John Hauser and Bill Fluman officiating. Services are under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

She was born August 7, 1900, at Garber to William and Mollie Cogswell Bosworth and died Thursday, January 15, 1998, at St. Mary's Mercy Hospital.

The family lived on a farm south of Douglas.

She married George Anderson on September 2, 1922, and they made their home in the Pioneer Community later settling in Waukomis.

She was a member of the Waukomis United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one cousin, Harry Cogswell of Pond Creek and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one brother and three sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church.

George G. Anderson, 93, formerly of Waukomis, son of William and Kate Anderson, died Tuesday, June 29, 1993, in Bass Memorial Baptist Hospital. He was born June 22, 1900 in Bradsfordville, Casey County, Kentucky and moved with his family to Oklahoma in September 1900, settling in the Pioneer community. He attended the Pleasant Valley school and church.

On September 2, 1922 he and Bernice Bosworth of Douglas were married in Enid with his parents as attendents. They made their home in the Pioneer community where they farmed and ranched. He was a kind, loving and generous person and a lover of nature.

He continued farming until his health began to fail and then moved to Waukomis and joined the Waukomis Methodist Church. He remained an active member until moving to Enid. He was also a member of the Waukomis Masonic Lodge.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 70 years, Bernice and several nieces and nephews and a daughter – in – law, Kathleen.

He was preceded in death by a son, George D. Anderson, two brothers and five sisters.

His funeral service will be Thursday at 2 PM in the Waukomis Methodist Church with the Rev. John W. Hauser officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery under direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Waukomis Methodist Church through the church or funeral home.
