March 4, 1957 - January 16, 2020

A Celebration of Life Service for Jo Dean "Jody" Wichert Adams, age 62, of Waukomis, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Rev. Kris Mayberry officiating. Burial will be at later date. Cremation and services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jody was born March 4, 1957, in Enid to John and Darlene Wichert and passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 in St. Mary's Hospital. She was raised in Enid and graduated from Enid High School in 1975. She attended Northwestern University for 2 years. Jody met her husband, Mark Adams, on St. Thomas island and were married October 14, 1997, at her parents' house. She lived in St. Thomas for 13 years. They moved to Philadelphia in 1995, where she worked as a dispatcher for Aqua America, Inc., for 23 years. She moved back to Waukomis in December.

Jody is survived by her parents, John and Darlene Wichert of Waukomis; a brother, Troy Wichert of Waukomis; nephew, Tate Wichert and wife Madison of Stillwater; and several other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mark; grandparents, Dan and Elma Wichert and Ed and Gertie Slavicek.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation - Cancer division, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
