August 15, 1930 - November 27, 2018

A Celebration of Life service for James "Jim" B. Treat, age 88, Breckinridge, is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Kelly Russell officiating.

Burial follows in the Paradise Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jim was born August 15, 1930, in Atwood, OK, to Ben and Rebecca Taylor Treat and passed away early Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in St. Mary's Regional Hospital.

He grew up in Atwood, where he graduated from high school in 1949. He played minor league baseball for the Sooner State League for three years.

He married Francile Huffstutlar on September 23, 1949, in Holdenville. Jim worked for Haliburton for ten years and later worked for Champlin Oil Company, retiring in 1988 after 26 years. He owned J&L Sod farm in Breckinridge for seven years.

Jim was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He enjoyed fishing, taxidermy, and coaching Little League baseball.

He always enjoyed his gardening and sharing his vegetables with everyone. Jim raised Martins every summer.

Jim is survived by his wife Fran of the home; two sons, Don Treat of Enid, and Jim Treat and wife Sonya of Orlando, FL; two daughters, Connie Hall of Del City, and Teri Morris and husband Gary of Goltry; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and several other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Marie, and three brothers, Willie, Ernest, and Dewey.
