February 15, 1945 - June 21, 2019

Funeral services for Carol Ann (Chambers) Quimby, 74, Garber resident, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, in the Garber Christian Church, with Pastor Ronnie Drage officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Paradise Cemetery, Breckenridge, under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Visitation in Garber will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019, in the Garber Christian Church.

Carol Ann (Chambers) Quimby was born February 15, 1945, to James Sr. and Doris (Walton) Chambers, and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on June 21, 2019.

Carol married the love of her life, Gene Quimby, in February 1980, and they made their home on a farm north of Garber. For many years Gene and Carol ran a successful tractor repair business and after retirement raised cattle.

The joy of Carol's life was her family and the farm. She was an active member of the Garber Christian Church, where she served as Deaconess and Board Member, and loved teaching Sunday School.

Carol is survived by her mother, Doris Chambers; husband Gene; her children, Aline Terry, Bill Quimby and his wife Jennifer; her grandsons, Brett, Wyatt, and Elliott Quimby; her sister, Linda Sochor; brother JR Chambers and wife Carol; and sister Susan Shipley. Also, nieces, Kim Eggers, Tiffany Tabor and husband Tim, Sandy Olson and husband Todd, Melissa Johnson and husband Barry, and nephew Chad Sochor and wife Ashleigh, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Carol is preceded in death by her father James Chambers, Sr. and brother Billy Joe Hites.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Garber Christian Church. *Casual dress is encouraged for the service. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
