Paradise Cemetery


Funeral service for Ann A Petr, age 81, will be held Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Rev Jim Edmison will officiate. Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery, Breckinridge, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Ann was born January 30, 1931 in Enid, OK to Joseph and Josephine Vaverka Maly and died December 12, 2012 in Greenbrier Nursing Home. She graduated in 1948 from Garber High School. She worked for the telephone company before marrying, John Petr on July 16, 1950 in Enid, OK. They farmed in the Garber-Billings area until John's death on September 7, 1993. Ann was the mother of five beautiful children. She worked at Rush Metals for 25 years. She was a member of the Garber Christian Church from which she was baptized.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, daughter, Gail and two sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Janice and Stan Schuttpelz of Hobbs,NM, Marilyn and Mike Steen of Omaha, NE; sons, Randall and Linda Petr of Fairmont and Harlan Petr of Enid, OK; son-in-law, Dale Sharkey of Hillsdale, OK; sister, Julie Galusha; 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
