Paradise Cemetery


June 22, 1944 - August 10, 2022

Celebration of Life Service for Marilyn Jenkins, 78 of Enid, will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2022, in the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mark Green officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Marilyn was born June 22, 1944, in St. Louis, OK, to Virgil and Edna (Spitler) Crampton and passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022, in Enid.

She grew up in Meeker, OK, where she graduated from high school. Marilyn married Gale Rider, and they had two children, Melanie and Kevin. They later divorced, and she married Stanley Jenkins, and they made their home in Enid. She worked for Rider Appliance, Liberty Federal, and the Garfield County Court Clerk's office for over 28 years. Marilyn was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church and also attended Your Family Church. She enjoyed playing softball, water and snow skiing, and especially long walks with Stan. Marilyn played basketball in high school. Some of her most special times were going to Lake Texoma and renting a cabin with Stan, gathering firewood and doing smores by the fire at night.

She is survived by her children, Kevin Rider and wife Laura; son-in-law Dan Christophel; sister, Elaine Risenhoover; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Jenkins, daughter Melanie, and brother Max.
