ENID, OK — A celebration of life for Ida L. Wuerflein, 91, of Enid will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Whittenburg officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Ida was born April 16, 1923, in Carrier, Okla., the daughter of Otto and Dorothea Luckert Seifert, and died in Enid, June 4, 2014. She was united in marriage to Herman L. Wuerflein, Aug. 1, 1954, in Enid, Okla., and he preceded her in death Nov. 29, 1984. Ida was a graduate of Carrier High School in 1941 and from Phillips University with a degree in education. She taught many years in various one- room schools, and then ended her teaching career in the Carrier school system. She was active in LWML and the Kremlin Home Culture Club. Ida enjoyed needlework, ceramics and playing card games. In her earlier years, she was member of different music groups. She will be remembered for always having a positive attitude even having many health issues.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Garrett (Kenny) of Wichita, Kan.; three sons, Richard and James (Kathy) of Kremlin and David (Gina) of Weatherford, Texas; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Bertha Jeske and a daughter-in-law, Teresa Wuerflein.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kremlin-Hillsdale Academic Enrichment Foundation with Ladusau-Evans custodian of the funds. Online condolences may be left at www.ladusauevans.com.
