February 18, 1934 - May 18, 2020

Graveside service celebrating the life of Mildred "Irene" Wright will be 1:00PM, Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Brian Meyer officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening 5:00PM to 6:30PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Irene was born on February 18, 1934 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Joseph Burpee and Dora Dean (Byrom) Brown and passed away on May 18, 2020 in Enid.

Irene was a stay at home mom until she was 37. She then went to work at Woolco Department Store until she was 41. She then began working at K-Mart until she retired at the age of 62. Irene loved to work in her yard and play with her grandbabies. She loved to go dancing with her best friend Wilda.

Irene is survived by her children Richard (Linda), Cheryl, Mark (April), Darryl (Sandi), and Fay (Donnie); 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters Jenny, and Dena; and brothers Earl and Roger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Florence, brother Larry, son Robert, daughter Joyce, step mother Theola and the father of her children Charles.
