The funeral service for Doris Irene Willson is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gary Miller officiating. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Doris was born November 15, 1935, to Arthur and Rena (Dallas) Davidson in Covington, and passed away March 31, 2018, in Enid. Doris was raised in Enid and graduated from Enid High School in 1953. She then attended Phillips University and Enid Beauty College. On October 3, 1953, she married Robert Eugene Peters in Enid and two children came of this union. Doris met, and then later married Gilbert L. Willson on April 9, 1970, in New Mexico. Then moved to Enid where the couple made their home, and enhanced their family with another child. Doris enjoyed rock and roll music, romance novels and watching the OKC Thunder. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Doris is survived by husband, Gilbert Sr.; sons, Dale and Sylvia (Starnes) Peters of TX; Danny and Darla (Brainerd) Peters of Enid; Gilbert Jr. and Jennifer (Mattson) Willson, Perry; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one on the way. Numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lorraine Irvin and Fonda Sorey; brother, Harley Davidson, and one grandson, Bradley Peters.
