Funeral for Kay Williams, 87, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Scott Whittenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family is 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, May 1, at the funeral home.

Kay was born May 23, 1927, in Oklahoma City to Russell and Jessie (Johnson) Tener and passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Enid.

She grew up in Oklahoma City.

On July 1, 1945, Kay married Rex Williams in Norman, Okla. They moved to Enid in 1962, and were members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She was a wonderful mom and grandma. Kay was a member of L.W.M.L. and served many funeral dinners. Her passion was playing cards and she belonged to numerous bridge clubs.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Rex; one brother, J.R. Tener; and two sisters, Helen Willems and Becky Hamilton.

Kay is survived by her four children, Cathy Williams of Enid, Ted and wife JoEllen Williams of Afton, Okla., Russell and wife Lynne Williams of Spring Valley, Calif., and Bonnie and husband Jim Smith of Stigler, Okla.; sister, Mary Monasco of Norman; special friend, Christy Shipley of Enid; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; and other relatives and many friends.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to OMRF, cancer division.
