Woodward, Okla. — The funeral for Mary E. Wiedman, 79 year-old Enid resident, will be Monday, October 10, 2011 at 2PM in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Richard Royal will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday evening from 5PM-7PM in the funeral home chapel.

Mary was born September 12, 1932 in Ironton, Missouri to Mr. and Mrs. Elva (Mistemocker) Johnson, and died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at her home in Enid. She attended country school and graduated from Fredricktown High School. She married Jerry Pinkley in Little Rock, Arkansas and the couple made their home in Fredricktown, Missouri. They later divorced.

On May 23, 1977, she married Bill Wiedman in Canton, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Kiowa, Kansas until moving to Enid. Later in life, she attended and graduated from Oklahoma University and then obtained her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Northwestern Univesity. She was an occupational therapist at what was then Enid State School.

She was a member of the Lady Shriner’s, Eastern Star, Ruth Chapter, and Red Hat Ladies. She enjoyed attending movies and plays with her friends from the Commons, fishing, gardening, and cooking. She is survived by four children, Jerry Mike Pinkley of Byran, TX; Deborah Lewis of Woodward, OK; Mark Ray Pinkley and wife, Dana of LaGrange, TX; Susan Miller and husband, Eddie of Arnett, OK. Three step-children, Mike Wiedman; Jan Schrock; Jill Howard and their families; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving is her sister, Corky Bullinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill and two brothers.
