ENID, OK — Funeral service for Elma A. Wichert, 103, of Enid, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Carruthers officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Elma was born Nov. 8, 1910, in Halstead, Kan., to Robert A. and Elvina Gerald Mitchell and passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Highland Park Manor.

She moved to Cheyenne Valley, Okla., at a young age.

She married Dan Wichert on Dec. 13, 1937, in Fairview, Okla. He passed away June 28, 2004.

She worked at Gibson and TG&Y Department stores for several years. Elma was a member of Willow View United Methodist Church.

Elma is survived by three sons, Johnnie and wife Darlene Wichert of Waukomis, Glen and wife Glenna Wichert of Enid, and Robert and wife Gracie Wichert of Bella Vista, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Francis Albright and Thelma Bowers, both of Fairview; and several nieces and nephews.

Elma was preceded by four sisters, two brothers and a great-grandson.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
