A graveside memorial service for Rebecca Leigh Wheeler, 68, of Enid, is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2019, in the Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Terry Chick officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Rebecca was born May 8, 1951, in Enid, to Dr. Donald Wheeler and Opal Derr Wheeler, and passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019.

She attended Enid schools and graduated in the class of 1970. After graduation, Rebecca attended Phillips University and earned her Associate's Degree. She went to work for Vance Air Force Base-Servair in 1972 and continued working at the base until her retirement in May 2016, after 43 years.

On February 6, 1978, her daughter Cari Nicole Wheeler was born in Enid, OK.

Rebecca is survived by her mother, Opal Wheeler; one brother, Donald Wheeler and wife Teri; daughter, Cari Young and husband Jeremy of Kansas; five grandchildren, Jace, Chandace, Breylia, Nasun and Oakleigh; one great-granddaughter, Mackenzy; many friends; and her spoiled cat Sylvie.
