Celebration of Life service for Betty L Wellman, age 90, of Enid, will be Friday, October 13, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Alan Seibel, Rev. Eric Keller, and Rev. Jeff Enabnit officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Betty was born in Arkansas City, KS, to Otha and Marie Fry Britton, April 16, 1927, and passed away Monday, October 9, 2017, at her home. Betty attended grade school into jr high in Arkansas City. Later, the family moved to Lamont, OK, in May 1941. She graduated from high school May 1944. On July 16, 1944, she married Lyle Wellman of Lamont. To this union four sons were born. They shared 55 years together before Lyle passed away December 4, 1999. Betty was a wife, friend, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, cook, and Avon representative. She accepted Christ when she was 8 years of age. She was dedicated to her church, helping in any position needed. Sharing and caring were a part of her. Her joy in cooking, devotion, giving, and singing made her life happy. She was a member of Davis Park Christian Church, and now a member of Oakwood Christian Church.

Surviving her are sons: Paul; Neil and wife Pamela; Don and wife Anita; and Keith and wife Tina; and a total of 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; precious friend, Ralph Barrett; five grandchildren; her parents; her brother Bob; a foster brother, Carl and his wife Louise.

Memorials may be given to Oakwood Christian Church or Hospice Circle of Love, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
