August 27, 1942 - December 22, 2018

A Celebration of Life Service for Phillip "Phil" J. Weldon, age 76, of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Rev. Craig Bruyan officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Phillip was born August 27, 1942, in Enid to Donald H. and Sylvia (Kiely) Weldon and passed away early Saturday, December 22, 2018, at St. Mary's Regional Hospital.

He grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School in 1960. At the age of 18 he went to work at Vance Air Force Base for Serv-Air for 19 years. He went to work for Enid Copier Co. for 4 years. He later went back to work at the base as the flight line foreman, which he previously worked, until his retirement in 2000. He worked at Ernie's Trading Post for 8 years while still working at the base.

He married Mary Jane Bullard on August 15, 1964, in Enid. He enjoyed playing lots of softball as well as coaching his daughter's softball teams. He also taught one of his daughter's basketball at the YWCA. He was always involved and traveled to his daughters' and granddaughters' sporting events. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church (Graceway Baptist Church).

He is survived by his wife Mary Jane of the home; daughters, Kristi Weldon and Julie Shaw and husband Brad; granddaughters, Taylor Innis and Haley Innis; brother Dennis Weldon and wife Debra; several nieces and nephews; and his grand-dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Danny Weldon, and sister Donna Hamilton.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on 2018-12-26 at Ladusau-Evans Chapel, 2800 North Van Buren Street, Enid, OK, USA.
