© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma December 2020 December 25, 1934 - December 21, 2020 The graveside service for Bobby Lee Wegmiller, 85-year-old Enid resident, is 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2020, in the Garden Chapel of the Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Gary Miller will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Bobby was born Christmas Day 1934 in Enid to Fred and Viola [Wehwalt] Wegmiller and died Monday, December 21, 2020, at Integris Bass Baptist Medical Center, Enid. He attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1952. After graduation, Bobby enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. On June 1, 1956, he married Judy Kay Johnson in Enid, where the couple made their home. Bobby worked with the Champlain refinery for over 20 years. In July 1986, he and Judy bought the Flamingo Lounge, which they owned and operated for 34 years. His work was his passion, and he always stayed busy. He is survived by his two sons: Jay Wegmiller and wife Wanda and Brad Wegmiller and wife Pam, all of Enid; three grandchildren, Erin Klein and husband Jeremy of Enid, Jennifer Williams and husband Tyler and Christian Wegmiller and wife Kelsey; and 10 great-grandchildren. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 52 years, Judy, his son, Scott, and a sister, Peggy Stramp. © Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma July 29, 1938 ~ March 4, 2009 Mass of Christian Burial for Judy Kay Wegmiller, 70-year-old Enid resident, will be at noon today, March 6, 2009, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. Kevin Ratterman, celebrant. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Judy was born July 29, 1938, in Amorita, Okla., the daughter of Arthur and Lena [Hodgson] Johnson and died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at her home. Judy attended school in Driftwood, Okla., before moving to Enid and graduating from Enid High School. She married Bob Wegmiller in Enid on June 1, 1956. They just recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. Judy worked as an investment secretary for James B. Finnegan for over 35 years. In July 1986, Bob and Judy purchased the Flamingo Lounge. She was a longtime member of St Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She loved horse racing, playing with her flowers, gardening and was an avid reader. Judy loved going to their lake house on Canton Lake and spending a week at a time with her family. There is nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home; three sons, Jay Wegmiller and his wife Wanda of Enid, Brad Wegmiller and his wife Pam of Enid, and Scott Wegmiller of Enid; three grandchildren, Erin Quintero and her husband Jesse of Enid, Jennifer and Christian Wegmiller; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ted Johnson and his wife Retta of Wichita, Kan., and Mark Johnson and his wife Terri of Enid. Judy is preceded in death by her parents. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Daily Bread with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund. © Ladusau~Evans Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma September 2018 October 10, 1963 ~ September 9, 2018 Scott Alex Wegmiller, Enid, Oklahoma, went to his Lord and Savior September 9, 2018 in Oklahoma City at the age of 54. His Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 2:00pm at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home in Enid, OK. Gail Edmison will be officiating the service. Family will accept visitors Friday September 14th, 6:00pm - 7:00pm at Ladusau-Evans. Scott was born in Enid to Judy Kay and Bobby Lee Wegmiller on October 10, 1963. He was the youngest of three boys. He graduated from Enid High School in 1981. He began working for Clement's Plumbing and would often reminisce about how much he learned and how he valued that job. As a young man in his 20's, he began a journey that turned into fulfilling career at The Commons in 1988. He then attended the University of Oklahoma Health and Science Center, completing his Licensure for Long-Term Care Administration in 1991. Scott began as administrator on July 1, 1995. He retired from The Commons after 30 years of transcending service in June 2017. He was proud and honored in the work he did with The Commons. Scott and Retha have a beautiful son, Christian Scott, born May 23, 1991 in Enid, OK. A large part of their time was spent at "the river" in Kay County fishing, boating, and exploring. Scott was a wonderful loving father. He was an avid reader and builder. He was an outdoorsman and loved to travel. Scott and Samantha met during their careers at The Commons. Their shared vision for this company allowed a friendship to grow into a life together. They were married in Kuai, HI, in 2012. Scott is survived by his father, Bobby Lee Wegmiller, son, Christian Scott Wegmiller, wife, Samantha Lea Wegmiller, his two brothers and families, Jay and Wanda Wegmiller, Brad and Pam Wegmiller, including two nieces, Jennifer and Tyler Williams, and Erin and Jeremy Klein, and great-nieces and nephews, Tayvian, Tate, Gentry, and Miller As well as, daughter-in-law, Kelsey Wegmiller, parents in law, Edward and Sharon Manuel, and David Dougherty, blended family include two daughters and a son, Sydnie Lickliter, Mckinzie Devereaux, and Tyler Dougherty. He has four grandchildren, Rylinn, Michael, Peyton, and Harper, who loved him dearly and called him "Papa Tree". Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Kay Wegmiller and step-son, David Devereaux. Memorials in Scott's name may be made to Enid SPCA or FurEver Friends with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
