August 14, 1930 - October 23, 2020

A Celebration of Life Service for Barbara E. Weese, age 87, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Eric Grandberg officiating. A family only burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Barbara was born Aug. 14, 1933, in Medford, Okla., to Selma Froese Haworth and passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 2020, in the Garland Road Nursing Center. Barbara married Leslie Weese on Oct. 6, 1950, in Enid and he passed away Dec. 3, 2002. She attended and graduated from Enid High School in 1951. She worked for Garfield County as a clerk in the Deeds and Registrar office, retiring in 2005. She served on the PTA from 1958-1960. She was a member of Davis Park Christian Church. She later became a member of Garland Road Church of Christ.

Barbara is survived by her children; Karen and Mike Manley, Greg and Sherry Wesse and Shari and Jim Stricklin; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson; a brother, Glen, and Kathy Haworth, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by mother and husband Les and her favorite aunt, Edna Watts.

Memorials may be made to Bennie's Barn with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.

Funeral service for Leslie "Les" Weese, age 74 , will be 10 AM Friday at Davis Park Christian church with Rev's Alan Seibel and Marvin Goodpasture officiating . Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau Evans Funeral Home.

Les was born on February 17, 1928 in Amarillo Texas to George Otis and Ruby Reynolds Weese. The family moved to Oklahoma City when Les was a small child and a few years later moved to Enid. Les attended Adams grade school, Longfellow Junior High and graduated from Enid High School . After graduation he entered the Navy and served two years active duty and five years in the Reserves. After returning from the Navy, Les attended Enid Business College graduating in 1950. He started working at Failings in 1950 and retired in 1993. In 1950 he married Barbara Froese and to this union three children were born, Karen, Greg and Shari. Les enjoyed woodworking and taking care of his yard and his garden.

Les was a member of Davis Park Christian church he was always active in the church until his stroke. He enjoyed teaching the juniors especially fifth and sixth grade boys he served as Deacon and Elder for many years and served as chairman of the board numerous times. When Davis Park preschool was started he was active member of the school board and also the chairman of the school board . Les was happiest when he was with people and especially when he could help someone.

Les was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Barbara three children Karen Manley and her husband Michael, Greg Weese and his wife Ruth, Shari Stricklin and her husband, Jim; six grandchildren, Katrina Medley, Bridget and Shane Capps, Dustin and Angel Stricklin, Tiffany Stricklin, Amber and Heather Weese; two great grandchildren, Tori Capps and Adrianna Stricklin.

Les was a devoted family man. He loved his family and was there to help each one of them. He will be greatly missed as a husband, father and grandfather.
