Lorine Meredith "Renie" [Loomis] Webber
June 8, 1914 ~ October 8, 2007


A private family memorial service for Lorine Meredith Loomis Webber, former Enid resident, will be Friday, October 19, 2007, at 9:30AM in the Memorial Park Garden Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home of Enid.

She went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 8, 2007. Lorine "Renie" was born to Court Edward and Nancy Emmaline [Reynolds] Loomis on June 8, 1914 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Early in her life, her parents moved from Bartlesville when her father took all of the furniture by train to Enid to begin his retail furniture business.

She grew up in Enid, attending its public school system and gradauated from Enid High School in 1931. She attended Gulfport Junior College for girls in Gulfport, Mississippi where she received an Associate's degree at age 19. She then attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman, where she graduated in 1935 with a double degree.

She was in the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority at O.U. and was privileged to receive her 65 year-old Kappa pin a few years ago.

She always summered in Chipita Park, CO, at the family home since the 1930's. Around 1971, she moved from Enid to Chipita Park.

She raised her adopted granddaughter, Melissa, and enjoyed her mountain community.

The Church in the Wildwood of Green Mountain Falls became her church home and she was active in its activities including the Sanctuary Renovation Project, Secretary Fellowship.

She had a gift for making everyone, who life touched, feel special. She was known for her hospitality, optimism, sense of humor and deep religious faith throughout her long life, and was loved and her family admired by her family and friends.

"Renie" taught the high school Sunday School Class for 36 years at the First Presbyterian Church in Enid, OK. She was active in PEO Chapter Q, the Junior Welfare League, Ute Pass Chamber of Commerce, and Florissant Fossil Beds Board Member and was Grand Marshall of the Green Mountain Falls Bronc Day two separate times.

"Renie" was a loving daughter, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

Memorials may be made through HenningerAllen Funeral Home to either Church of the Wildwood or the First Presbyterian Church in Enid.
