OBITUARY
The funeral for James “Jim” Watts, 72, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Carl Roberts and Jeffrey Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was born Feb. 22, 1935, in Enid to James Excell and Dorothy Holloway Watts and died Friday, June 1, 2007, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.

He grew up in Enid and attended Enid public schools. He was a professional horse jockey before serving in the Army. He worked at Vance Air Force Base in data processing. He later moved to Oklahoma City where he worked at Remington Park race track. He moved back to Enid in 2004. Surviving are two sisters, Ruth Norman and Charlotte Raper, both of Enid; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Civitan Home Shelter Fund.
