The funeral for Wayne Watkins, 81, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Evangel Assembly of God Church. Rev. Lester Lowry will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Visitation with family will be 4:30-5:30 this afternoon at the funeral home.

Wayne was born to Ilo and Cleo (Goddard) Watkins Aug. 18, 1933, in Fort Supply, and passed away Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at his home in Enid.

Wayne grew up in Enid.

On Nov. 2, 1952, Wayne married Charlene Buchanan in Hominy. They moved to Enid in 1955.

Wayne worked for Hackney, Champlin, Timmons Oil, Garfield County and Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. He was a member of Evangel Assembly of God Church.

Wayne is survived by his wife Charlene; daughter Sue Watkins; son Chuck Watkins; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister Arvilla (Paul) Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Phyllis Thornburg and Mike Watkins.
