William Lewis "Bill" Watkins
June 13, 1931 ~ September 6, 2006


A graveside service for William "Bill" Lewis Watkins, age 75, will be held Monday, September 11, 2006, at 2 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev Marvin Goodpasture will officiate. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Bill was born June 13, 1931, in Enid, Okla., to John and Golda Parker Watkins and died at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center September 6, 2006.

He married Cathy Green in January 1971.

He worked at George E. Failing for 25 years as an assemblyman. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans. He served in the Army in Korea.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy of Enid; children, Stephanie Watkins of Enid, James Watkins of Enid, Brian Knighten and wife Jeree of Allen, Okla., Kim Watkins of Enid, Robert Watkins of Enid, Carol Ann Rust of Enid and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a daughter.

Ilo Wayne Watkins
August 18, 1933 ~ November 21, 2014


The funeral for Wayne Watkins, 81, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Evangel Assembly of God Church. Rev Lester Lowry will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Visitation with family will be 4:30-5:30 this afternoon at the funeral home.

Wayne was born to Ilo and Cleo (Goddard) Watkins August 18, 1933, in Fort Supply, and passed away Friday, November 21, 2014, at his home in Enid.

Wayne grew up in Enid.

On November 2, 1952, Wayne married Charlene Buchanan in Hominy. They moved to Enid in 1955.

Wayne worked for Hackney, Champlin, Timmons Oil, Garfield County and Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. He was a member of Evangel Assembly of God Church.

Wayne is survived by his wife Charlene; daughter Sue Watkins; son Chuck Watkins; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister Arvilla [Paul] Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Phyllis Thornburg and Mike Watkins.

Catherine Elaine [Green] Watkins

The graveside service for Catherine Watkins, 65, Enid, is 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016. at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Catherine was born July 17, 1951, to Herbert and Doris (Murphy) Green in Washington D.C., and passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, in Enid.

Catherine grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. Catherine married William Watkins on Jan. 25, 1971, in Enid. She was a CMA many years for Sunnyside and NORCE, retiring from NORCE. Catherine enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Watkins; and son, James Watkins; both of Enid; two grandchildren, Brice and Coltn Watkins; sisters, Jean Green, of Enid; and Linda Richardson, of Hennessey; and step-mother, Iona Green, of Enid.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William; parents; and brother, Herbert Green Jr.

Sue L. Watkins
March 13, 1956 ~ November 20, 2022


Celebration of Life Service Sue Watkins, 66 of Enid will be Friday, November 25, 2022 at 4:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Miller officiating. Private family burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Sue was born on March 13, 1956 in Enid to Wayne and Charlene (Buchanan) Watkins and passed away at her home on November 20, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer.

She grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. Sue worked for 33 years as a custodian for Garfield County Courthouse. She enjoyed OU Football, her dogs and cats.

Sue was preceded in death by her father, Wayne; brother, Michael; and sister, Phyllis Thornburg.

She is survived by her mother, Charlene Watkins; brother, Chuck Watkins; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

James Roy Watkins
July 25, 1987 ~ August 30, 2011


Funeral service for James Roy Watkins, 24, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Central Christian Church with Pastor David Jones of Waukomis Christian Church and Rev Dr Stephan Hale of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church of Oklahoma City officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

James was born July 25, 1987, in Wichita, Kan., and passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

He is survived by his wife, love of his life, Christine of the home; mother, Shelly Naugle Miller of Fairview; three brothers: identical twin brother, Jesse Watkins, an active U.S. National Guard serviceman stationed in Afghanistan and wife Daniella; Jacob Lee Watkins and wife Ana Martinez-Watkins of Enid; and Joshua Watkins of Oklahoma City; mother-in-law, Andrea Singer of Enid; adopted father/father-in-law, Don Eck; grandmother, Norma Naugle; grandparents-in-law, Eldon and Lavon Eck of Enid; and very special person, Grandma T; special cousins, Kyle and Patricia; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lawrence Roy Naugle and Aunt Julie K. Naugle.
