Graveside memorial service for George Robert Waters, 93, of North Enid, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Mr. Doug Wade officiating.

Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation with the family will be 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, July 10, at the funeral home.

Robert was born Jan. 27, 1922, on the family farm, Crossroads, Prairie County, Ark., to Jewel Owen and Pearl (White) Waters and passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in Enid.

Robert attended a one-room school at Crossroads until the eighth grade, and graduated from Des Arc High School.

He farmed on the home place, worked at a bakery and pipelined.

August 1944, he married Nell Johnson and they had two daughters, Kay and Barbara.

In 1954, he went to work for Addressograph Multigraph as a service manager, and was transferred to Enid in 1970.

Robert married Linda Miller on Jan. 24, 1971, in Jacksonville, Ark. They made their home in Enid, where they raised their daughter Debbie.

After 42 years with Addressograph Mutigraph, Robert retired in 1996, and then worked several years for Memorial Park Cemetery and Enid Speedway.

He enjoyed spending time twice a day with his coffee buddies.

Robert is survived by his wife, Linda Waters of the home; three daughters, Kay Waters Sakaris and John, Barbara Waters George, all of Houston, Texas, and Debbie Lagan and Billy Joe Dilley of Creede, Colo.; three grandchildren, James Sakaris, Daniel George and Ashli Coleman; and one great-granddaughter, Audri Coleman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gene, and sister Sybil Herrington.
