Services for Albert Cecil Washburn, age 80, of Enid, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Albert was born May 2, 1940 in Enid to Cecil and Dorothy (Taylor) Washburn, and passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020.

He attended Enid High School, and shortly afterward, he married Patsy Cowsar. He started working for GEFCO (WEBCO) in 1959, and retired in 2005 after 50 years of service. One of Albert’s passions was woodcarving. He also loved to go fishing and camping. In the early 60’s, he also enjoyed racing stockcars at the Enid Speedway. He could tinker, build and fix anything.

Albert is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Dorothy Washburn; wife, Patsy Joann Washburn; and a brother, Leon Washburn.

He is survived by four sons, Gary Washburn of Enid; Terry Washburn and Kimberly, of Enid; Dale Washburn and wife Theresa, of Enid; Gale Washburn and wife Stacyann, of Enid; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; as well as other family and friends.

Memorial contributions in Albert’s name may be made to the Enid SPCA with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
