Enid, Oklahoma June 2008 August 13, 1915 ~ June 7, 2008 Daughter of the late Fred and Rosa Lampe Lichtenberg, she graduated from Lahoma High School. She married Ed Wasemiller on March 14, 1936, in Lahoma. She operated a beauty shop on the west side of the square in Enid for 15 years before going to work of Penney's, retiring in 1985. She was a member of University Place Christian Church and was a Red Hatter. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and two brothers. She was survived by two sons; Jerry Wasemiller and Neal Wasemiller; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her funeral was held June 11, 2008, with The Rev Jerry Galbreath officiating. |
© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma August 31, 2008 September 19, 1916 ~ August 27, 2008 The funeral service for Myrtle Marie Wasemiller, 92, of Enid, will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, in the Anderson - Burris Chapel with the Rev. Sheila Combes-Francis officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson - Burris Funeral Home . The casket will be open until service time on Sunday. Myrtle was born September 19, 1916, northwest of Freedom to H.W. and Bertha Schroeder and died on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, in Enid. She was a very loving and giving person to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fabe, on January 29, 1992, her parents, son-in-law, Roger, her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia Chesson of Austin, Texas; one grandson and his wife, Bradley and Doree Chesson of Tacoma, Wash.; three precious great-grandsons, Alec, Wyatt and Travis Chesson of Tacoma; one sister-in-law, Georgia Schroeder of Gresham, Ore.; two half-sisters, Mary Howard and Virgie Brewer of Ulysses, Kan.; nieces, nephews and many friends. © Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma February 18, 2008 October 11, 1928 ~ February 16, 2008 The funeral for Carla Jeannine Wasemiller, 79, formerly of Enid will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Lakeside Assembly of God Church, Oklahoma City. Burial will be 3 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home, Enid. She was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Enid to John M. and Viola E. “Bobbie” Carver Chodrick and died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008. She attended Enid High School. She married C. E. Johnny Wasemiller May 12, 1947. She was employed by Southwestern Bell. They moved to Stillwater while he attended college then moved to Ponca City and then to Oklahoma City. He died in 1993. She served as an officer in the Shrine Widows Club for five years. In 1987, she started working parttime as the office manager in her daughter’s medical office. Surviving are her children, Wayne Wasemiller MD, and Lisa Wasemiller-Smith MD, both of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Sherryl Chodrick of Enid and Jerryl Chodrick of Norman; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
