Funeral service for John Warfield, 71, of Cleo Springs, will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 at the funeral home.

John was born on May 4, 1940, to Vallie J. and Della Susan (Gibson) Warfield, in Bell, California, and died on Saturday, January 14, 2012, in Enid. John graduated from Cleo Springs High School, and received his bachelor’s degree from OSU in Animal Science. On July 19, 1979 he married Joyce A. Strait in Enid. He was a farmer, rancher, and oil and gas operator. John was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He served as a school board member of Aline-Cleo School. John loved spending time with his family, friends, his church, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

John is survived by his wife Joyce of the home; his children Val E. Warfield and wife Holly of Enid, John R. Warfield of Prescott Valley, AZ, Austin Warfield of Cleo Springs, Scott Warfield of Enid, Dana Bolt and husband Mike of Hominy, and Lance Strait of Nash; grandchildren Devin Warfield, Whitney Warfield, Joshua Warfield, Kent Warfield, and Kim Floyd and daughter Landree Warfield, Kyle Warfield, Cody Warfield and son Cadyn, Colin Warfield, Cerena Warfield, Terrance Bolt and wife PJ and children Alexia Adame and Morgan Bolt, Cortney Bolt, Candace Bolt and Lynsie Strait and fiancé Quinten Sturgeon; brother Jack Warfield of Cleo Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Memorial may be made through the funeral home to Emmanuel Baptist Church or The American Cancer Society
