Enid, Oklahoma March 2011 December 16, 1918 ~ March 28, 2011 Evelyn Ware was born on December 16, 1918, in Beaver OK, to Jeremiah Mansfield and Etta McCurley and died March 28, 2011, in Enid OK at the age of 92. She graduated from Beaver High School with the class of 1936 and attended Business College in Wichita KS. Evelyn worked at the Soil Conservation Office and also for the Department of Public Welfare in Beaver. On February 14, 1942, she married Vernon Ware in Liberal KS; they spent most of their life in Pond Creek OK where they operated the Top Hat Cleaners for 35 years. She was employed at Champlain Petroleum Company for 8 years in Enid and retired in 1984. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Mom's Club, VFW, and Eastern Star. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Kathy McLean and husband Mac and granddaughter Ashley, as well as her sister Lois Parker of Woodward OK. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Vernon, her parents, sisters Letha Howard and Vivian Richards, and brothers Winston and Elgin Mansfield. © Ladusau~Evans Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma October 2007 July 4, 1922 ~ October 15, 2007 The funeral for Mary F. Ware, 85, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. Wade Burleson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. She was born July 4, 1922, in Marshall to Lawrence Robert and Lela Mae Marsh McGuar and died Monday, October 15, 2007. She married Charles Thomas Ware March 10, 1944, in Enid. He died in No-vember 1996. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a life member of Eastern Star, recently receiving a 50-year pin. Surviving are one daughter, Charlene George; one brother, L.J. McGuar of Glencoe; and one granddaughter. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Emmanuel Baptist Church Project Jubilee or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, breast cancer division.
