Ruth Ann WALTON
Enid,Ok — A funeral service for Ruth Ann Walton, 69, of Enid, will be 1:30 p.m. today, Nov. 18, 2008, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Reverend Paul Hass officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Ruth Ann was born Dec. 25, 1938, in Aline, Okla., to Vernon and Ina (Reihm) Stettnisch and died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, in Enid.

She graduated from Enid High School. On Aug. 2, 1958, she married Dean Walton at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Enid. She was a homemaker. She returned to business school in 1990, and worked for Trans World Airline Tech School in Kansas City, Mo., as a secretary. Ruth Ann was a great mother that enjoyed her two daughters, granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Ruth and Dean moved back to Enid in 2000. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, L.W.M.L., and enjoyed sewing and reading.
She is survived by her husband Dean of the home; two daughters and their husbands, Toni and Robert Meacham of Enid and Shelly and Alan Carpenter of Rogers, Ark.; granddaughter and her husband Nicole and Brandon Cates of Enid; great-grandchildren, Haylie and Kyler Cates of Enid; one brother, Terry Stettnisch of Friendswood, Texas; one sister and her husband, Janette and Donald Knutson of Deer Park, Texas; other relatives and friends.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Paul’s Church elevator fund or Oklahoma Medcal Research Foundation, leukemia division. Condolences may be made online at www.andersonburris.com.
