Enid, Oklahoma May 1975 July 13, 1888 ~ May 7, 1975 "Education has made America the great nation it is today. It is the hope four our progress and peace in the future. To have an American Public School named for one is the greatest of honors, especially so, when one has spent his life in school work. For this great honor I am humbly grateful to the Board of Education and the citizens of Enid." DeWitt Waller - Former Superintendent of Enid City Schools DeWitt Waller Junior High School was named for Mr DeWitt Waller who served the Enid Public Schools from 1911 to 1959. In the 2009-2010 school year DeWitt Waller Junior High School became DeWitt Waller Middle School. |
Oklahoma November 2020 October 28, 1921 ~ November 9, 2020 Cletus Walton Waller was born in Walters, Okla., to Elmer and Althea Rose. He was raised by his grandmother and grandfather Waller. Cletus graduated from Chickasha High School, afterwards he entered the Army and served at Fort Bragg, N.C. |
