A graveside service for James “Jim” E. Waldroupe, 82, of Enid, will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Hass will officiate. Arrangements are by Hen-ninger-Allen Funeral Home.

He was born April 16, 1925, in Braman to George and Cora Johnson Waldroupe and died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He grew up and attended school in Enid. He was a civil engineer for Vance Air Force Base, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Enid Shrine Clown Unit, portraying a clown named Wally. He joined the Navy in 1941, serving as part of the Seabee’s.

Surviving are his wife, Lynn, of the home; three sons, Larry Waldroupe of Port Richey, Fla., Ron Hodges of Oklahoma City and Larry Hodges of Midland, Texas; one sister, Faye Davis of Enid; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, three brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Enid Shrine Clown Unit.
