© Henninger Hinson Funeral Home Garfield County, OK Tuesday, June 12, 1973 July 12, 1883 ~ June 15, 1971 Mrs Cora a Waldrope 87, 525 Tyler Street, Died early Monday Morning in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Seventh day Adventist church, with pastor William Carey officiating Under the direction of the Henninger-Allen funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in Mrs Waldroupes memory and Henninger-Allen will act as custodians for the fund. Born July 12, 1883 in Cowley County Kansas, She came with her Parents to a farm near Guthrie on April 22, 1889. In June 1907 she married George E. Waldroupe at Guthrie. He proceeded her in death in 1925. She then came to Enid and had her home here since. She was also proceeded in death by her Parents, Two sons, a granddaughter and three brothers. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and WCTU. Survivors include two sons, Frank of Ft. Scott Kan, and Jim of Enid; two daughters Mrs Ernest [Mildred Grace] Waters of Midwest City; Mrs. Faye Davis of Enid; 5 grandchildren; 3 gr grandchildren; one brother, Burton E. Johnson of Bakersfield California; and one sister, Mrs Lillian Brandon of Covington. |

Waldroupe, 82, of Enid, will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev Paul Hass will officiate. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. He was born April 16, 1925, in Braman to George and Cora Johnson Waldroupe and died Thursday, September 20, 2007, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He grew up and attended school in Enid. He was a civil engineer for Vance Air Force Base, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Enid Shrine Clown Unit, portraying a clown named Wally. He joined the Navy in 1941, serving as part of the Seabee's. Surviving are his wife, Lynn, of the home; three sons, Larry Waldroupe of Port Richey, Fla., Ron Hodges of Oklahoma City and Larry Hodges of Midland, Texas; one sister, Faye Davis of Enid; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, three brothers and one sister. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Enid Shrine Clown Unit.
