Funeral services for Donald “Woody” L. Waldie, 74, of Enid, will be Saturday, March 16, 2013, 2 p.m. at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bob Smith officiating and graveside services will follow at the Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. Donald was born May 28, 1938, in Medford, Okla., the son of Ralph and Minnie Stroike Waldie. He was a graduate of Medford High School in 1956.

Don attended Washington State University and Wichita State University. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Lynda R. Best Sept. 20, 1958. He was employed in upper management at Boeing Aircraft, Wichita, Kan., and retired in July of 1995. Don enjoyed golfing, reading and traveling in their motor home and camping with the RV Club.

Survivors include his wife, Lynda, a daughter, Kandie Bircher of Harrisonville, Mo., and a son Mikel Waldie of Wakita, Okla., two grandchildren and two great- grandchildren, a sister, Lois Hough of Loganville, Ga., and a sister-in-law Lynis Wing of Wichita, Kan., and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents,
