Gary Robert “Bobby” Waldecker was born Oct. 25, 1950, in Duncan, Okla., to Carl and Lora (Lambeth) Waldecker and died Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Enid, following a lengthy illness. Bobby was raised in California. After graduation, he painted automobiles. On Feb. 18, 1980, he married Sharon Lee Peacock. To this union a son, Gary Robert Jr. was born. Later, Bobby had a daughter, Daneen Tompkinson. He later moved to Colorado, where he worked in a lumberyard. Bobby then moved to Enid, where he worked at Advance Foods until ill health forced his retirement. Bobby enjoyed fishing, especially with his great-nephews and loved his cat, Tigger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Landon Moore; two nephews; three great-nieces; and one great-nephew. Bobby is survived by his son, Gary of California; daughter, Daneen of Colorado; brothers, Carl J. and Derrell, both of California; sisters, Peggy White, Enid, and Margaret Kurty of Michigan; 10 nieces and nephews; numerous extended family; and his best friend and roommate, Johnny Isom.

Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home
