April 26, 1922 - August 26, 2019

A Celebration of Life service for Clara Wahl age 97 of Enid will be 10 am Friday, August 30, 2019 at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Bro. Bob Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Clara was born April 26, 1922 on the farm near Meno, OK to Dan and Ida Becker Eck and passed away August 26, 2019 in the Golden Oaks Nursing Home. She grew up in the Meno community. On August 23, 1942, she married Leonard Wahl in Ringwood and he passed away April 13, 2003. She was a member of The Church of God.

If Clara could see all the fuss about her now, she would say “ Well isn’t that something.” Clara always had a sweet smile and a contagious giggle. She had a musical family, with her brothers and sisters playing multiple instruments. Remembering the days of the family playing music together, she said she was the only one who couldn’t play an instrument because someone needed to hold the babies. Clara was a loving caregiver, always holding babies, fostering children, and caring for elderly people in their homes. With grandchildren and great grandchildren, Clara fluttered around like a butterfly during meals, making sure everyone had enough, barely sitting down to eat. She even wanted to feed visitors, clear the tables, and make her bed at the nursing center. At the end, we know that she would say with a giggle, “We’ll see how things work out,” and now she can see how things worked out. We’re sure she’s holding babies in Heaven, with her sweet smile.

She is survived by her daughters; Loretta Siebert and husband Floyd of Enid and Donna Stout of Nickerson, KS, a son Bob Wahl and wife Karen of Kissimmee, FL, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, and a sister Ella Mae Jarvis.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, 8 Brothers and 7 Sisters, and 2 grandsons.

Memorials may be made to The Church of God- Monarch Building Fund or Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.

Condolences may be made online and the service may be viewed online at www.ladusauevans.com .
