Covington, Oklahoma July 1936 October 27, 1859 ~ July 18, 1936 Henry Waggoner [sic] passed away Saturday evening at the home of a son near Covington. He apparently [had] been in good health and was found dead. He lived northwest of Ringwood several years ago. He was the father of Mrs Ula Harger. Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at the Brown Funeral home in Enid and burial was made in the Enid cemetery. Those from here who attended the funeral were Mr and Mrs Ula Harger, Mr and Mrs Forrest [sic] Manning, Mrs Gilbert Pletzer and Mr and Mrs Jake Stepp, Arthur and Marie. |

Wagner came to this country at [the] age of seven with his parents, who homesteaded near Fairview in 1889. He moved in 1930 to the Fairmont community, where he farmed until moving to Glencoe in 1948. He was a member of the Lutheran church. Surviving are his wife, Colvie [sic], of the home; a son, Julius John Wagner, of the home; two brothers, Henry Wagner, Pomona, Calif., and Bill Wagner, Fairmont; three sisters, Mrs Millie Harger, Ringwood; Mrs Marie Horrall, Enid, and Mrs Elizabeth Orrell, Enid. Enid, Oklahoma August 1977 October 2, 1896 ~ August 17, 1977 Mrs Calvie A. Wagner, 80, 2510 N. Adams, died early Wednesday morning in a local hospital after several months illness. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Willow Road Christian Church with the Rev. Richard Duckworth officiating. She will be buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs Wagner was born at Grand Saline, Tex., and moved with her parents to Sweetwater, Tex. She attended schools in Noland, Tex., before moving to Enid in 1914. She and Julius Wagner were married in 1934 [sic]. They lived in Fairview, Covington and the Pawnee area where he farmed. After his death in 1956, she returned to Enid to live. She was an employee of the Enid State School and participated in the Foster Grandparents Program. She is survived by a son, Julius J. Wagner, Enid; a granddaughter; three brothers, H.G. Oliver, Breckinridge, Sid Oliver of Enid and J.C. Oliver, Midland, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs Effie Ussery and Mrs Thelma Hankins, both of Sweetwater, Tex., and Mrs Lola Arnold, Marshall. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and a daughter, Flora Belle Caley in 1974. |
© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma August 6 - 8, 2008 May 25, 1929 ~ August 5, 2008 Peggy Rae Wagner was born to Goldie and Ray Packard on May 25, 1929, on a farm near Helena. She died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, in Enid. The services will be held Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Enid First Assembly of God. Rev Stanley Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. On Nov. 23, 1949, she and Floyd Wagner were married. They have four children: a son, Wayne Wagner and wife Cindy of Enid, a son, Steve Wagner and wife Sharon of Enid; a daughter, Susan Wagner of Enid; and a daughter, Diane Lehman and husband Eldon of Mustang. She is also survived by her husband, Floyd Wagner of Enid and a sister, Shirley Weber and husband Frank of Valley Center, KS. Peggy and Floyd have five grandchildren: Brian Lehman, Kyle Wagner, Jeffrey Wagner, Lisa Wagner and Adrian de Sa Pereira. She'll be missed by her two great grandkids, Dakota Lehman and Nia de Sa Pereira. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Loren Packard. Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds. © Anderson~Burris Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma January 2021 March 17, 1946 ~ January 19, 2021 Ms. Patricia "Pat" Susan Tucker Wagner passed away January 19th at Bass Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma at the age of 74. Pat is survived by her daughters Susan Black Roberts with husband JR of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Sherry Harris with husband Brian of Edmond, Oklahoma, Terry Scoggins of Enid, Oklahoma and her siblings, James Tucker with wife Fran of Saint Augustine, Florida, Lu Anne Cochran of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by Her parents Devereaux and Willa Irene Tucker and her siblings William Tucker, Mary Tucker and Richard Tucker. Pat was born on March 17, 1946 in Miami, Oklahoma to Deveraux and Irene Tucker. She graduated from Pauls Valley High School in 1964. She went on to attend Oklahoma College for Women, Chickasha, Oklahoma where she met and later married Army Officer Candidate William Wilson in 1966. After moving to Enid, Pat began working for St. Mary's Hospital in admissions and later medical records as a transcriptionist and retired in 2012. Over 10 years, the couple welcomed 3 children into their home. Her children remember her as a strong and supportive mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Pat was an accomplished seamstress and often made her children's clothes and costumes. She was a generous individual who loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was passionate about all children leading to her work as a nanny upon retiring from the hospital. She was an active and dedicated member of the Central Christian Church where she worked in the nursery until 2017. Pat often volunteered at Taft Elementary in her daughter Terry's second grade classroom and received Employee of the Month at St Mary's Hospital for spending her free time in the nursery with a family less infant. The funeral is scheduled for 2:00PM Thursday January 28th at Central Christian Church, with graveside committal to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverends Tom Stanley and John Wheeler will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Pat's life.
