Thursday, September 12th, 1929 - Monday, September 4th, 2023

A graveside service for Betty Jo (Taylor) Walker, age 93, of Enid, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery in the Garden Chapel with Reverend Tim Taylor officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Betty was born September 12, 1929 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Roy and Nada (Jones) Taylor, and passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 in Enid.

She married Kenneth Walker on October 21, 1948 and they made their home together in Enid where they raised their four children, Linda, Kenny, Debi and Diana, and Ken owned and operated Ken's Mobile Homes on south Van Buren for many years. Betty worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone as an operator for many years, but spent most of her life taking care of her family. She and Ken enjoyed traveling to Port Aransas, Texas to go on fishing trips following his retirement in 1991. Betty Jo and Ken were long time members of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Nada Taylor; husband Kenneth Walker, Sr.; sister Nadine Warren; three brothers, Jack Taylor, Jerry Taylor, Dick Taylor, and brother-in-law Donald Walker. She is survived by her children; daughter, Linda Schroeder and husband Rodney, of Hutchison, KS; son, Kenneth Walker and wife Carla, of Waukomis, OK; daughter Diana Ritter and husband Don, of Atoka, OK; and daughter Debi Yount and husband Kim of Osage Beach, Lake of The Ozarks, MO; as well as eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, seven step-children and eleven step-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to the charity of choice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
