April 27, 1948 - June 23, 2021

A Celebration of Life for William (Bill) Voss, 73, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Enid, will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Reverend Bobby R. Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Bill was born April 27, 1949, in Enid to Erbie Lester and Mary Jo (Lang) Voss. Bill died June 23, 2021, in Houston, Texas, with his wife beside him.

Bill's father was in the military, so he had moved several times in his life. When his dad retired from the military, he asked Bill where he wanted to live, and Bill said "somewhere where there are seasons," so, they returned to Enid. Bill was in the 11th grade at the time. He graduated from Enid in 1966.

Bill went to Okmulgee Tech to become a draftsman. His printing was precise and you could read it. He worked as a draftsman for George E. Failing for several years. He then went to Champlin Petroleum as a draftsman, then as a Field Gauger. Later, he worked for Sunco as a Field Gauger for 25 years, retiring in 2011.

Bill enjoyed working out and always wanted to start his day by doing so. He was a member of the Enid YMCA for 56 years, where he loved playing racket ball. He always enjoyed a good game of golf. He and Diana both enjoyed playing golf, and they spent many vacations together on the golf course.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Diana; daughter, Robin Lynn Harmon (Stan); granddaughter, Britnee Casner (Michael); three great-grandchildren, Lilly, Hazel and Jackson; brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill's parents, Erbie and Mary Jo Voss, and daughter, Sherry Kristee (Voss) Rogers, precede him in death.

Memorial donations in Bill's name may be made to the Enid YMCA or the American Cancer Society, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Condolences to the family may be made and services viewed online at www.ladusauevans.com.
