August H. Vieth Funeral Today

Funeral services will be 2 PM today in the Bethany Evangelical United Brethren Church for August H. Vieth, who died in a local hospital Thursday, February 20, 1964.

Rev. Thomas J. Miller will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

A native of Gore, Missouri, he moved near Douglas where he farmed. He married the former Rose Burchart in 1906.

In 1908 he moved to Enid where he had worked with the Buttrey Grocery Company for a number of years and later went to work for the Safeway Company. He was a member of the Bethany Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Herbert C. (Alfreda) Knoblock, Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. O. J. (Opal) Benson and Mrs. G. W. (Velma) Henry, both of Enid; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ella Lieneke, Wellington, Missouri and one brother, Henry, of Hermann, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Adolp Eiferi, Glenn Ligenfeller, Frank Underhoffler, Roy Thurman, Charles Mahcote and Earl Reese.
