Leona A. Vice

Leona A. Vice, 70, 1201 Quail Creek, died Thursday afternoon in a local hospital after a period of ill health.

She was born April 27, 1912, and grew up on a farm southwest of Enid, attending school at Lahoma. Mrs. Vice lived most of her life in Carrier and moved to Enid a year ago.

She and Riley Vice were married August 29, 1934. He preceded her in death July 23, 1982.

Mrs. vice worked for a number of years at Gray's Clothing Store. She was a member of the Carrier Congregational Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lynn (Betty) Unruh of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Mrs. Jerry (Janet) Gearheard, Dallas, Texas; a son, John Vice of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and a brother, Harvey Smith of Kremlin.

The funeral for Mrs. Vice will be at 2 PM Saturday in the Landusau – Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Beryl Melcher officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the Carrier Congregational Church with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
