The funeral service for Madonna Kay Ventonis, 58, Enid, will be Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Central Assembly Church with Pastor Kevin Ward officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born June 29, 1952 in Enid to Floyd Cliff and Mildred Hughes Huey and died Monday, Dec. 15, 2010 at her home.

She graduated from Enid High School in 1970 and attended Southwestern Assembly of God University in Waxahachie, Texas for one year. She then returned to Enid, where she had a coffee-house ministry at First Assembly of God. On March 22, 1974, in Enid, she married Richard Ventonis.

They were involved in ministry in South Carolina and throughout Oklahoma. She was a pastor’s wife for 34 years.

She earned an associate degree in Arts at Western Oklahoma State University in Altus. Madonna loved the Lord with all her heart. She used her musical talent to lead worship. She had a beautiful solo voice but her proudest achievement was helping young people develop their ministry gifts and use them to the Lord.

She painted almost anything and everything. She used whatever money she raised to benefit special ministries. She was a beautiful lady who was dearly loved and will be missed.

Madonna Kay Ventonis is survived by her husband, Rev. Dr. Richard Ventonis; daughter, Jennifer and her husband Major John Decker, U.S.A.F.; their children Nicole, Anson and Lauren of San Antonio, Texas; her parents, of Enid, brother, Noland Huey and wife Karen and adult nephew Josh Huey; brother, Glenn Huey and wife Robbie and their extended family; and other extended family and many loving friends.

If friends desire in lieu of flowers, donations could be gived to Central Assembly of God designated to Freedom House, an adult female Teen Challenge Ministry in Sapulpa, Okla. Condolences may be made online at brown-cummings.com.
