A grave side service for A. Robert Vazquez Jr. 86, of Enid will be at 2pm in Memorial Park cemetery . The Rev. Arthur McCormick will officiate . Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

He was born in Rusk to Aurelio Roberto and Maria Valdez Vasquez and died Jan. 24, 2006 in St. Mary’s Hospital Enid.

He married Mary Esther Reyes Sept. 17, 1939 in Enid. At the start of W W II he worked or a bombing plant in Great Bend, KS. He also worked or the CCC camps, and later for Pillsbury Flour Mills , and the Rock Island Railroad of Enid. He also worked at Vance Air Force as a dock foreman. He was a Jet engine supervisor at the time of his retirement.

Survivors are one daughter; Mary Ellen Holmes of Martinsville, Ind. ; one son, Gary Robert Vazquez of Enid , one sister; Trina Martin of Enid, four grand children , seven great grand children and two gr gr grand children.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made to OK Medical Research , Dialysis or Heart Divisions .
