George Carl Vatterodt, 64, All Seasons Mobilel Home Park, died in a local hospital Saturday morning following a lengthy illness. Services will be Tuesday at 2 PM in Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Pendleton and the Rev. Melvin Warrent officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Vatterodt was born May 1, 1912, in Morrison. On April 30, 1936, he married Lorine Leftwich in Winfield, Kansas. They came to Enid from Oklahoma City 10 years ago. He was employed by Robberson Steel Company as a heavy equipment operator, and had also worked in Enid for his son – in – law at Dick Williams Auto Parts. He was affiliated with the first Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lorine, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Dick (Clara) Jones and Mrs. Dick (Sharon) Williams, both of Enid; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Walker, Lincoln, Kansas, Mrs. Ann Shaver, Vacaville, California, Mrs. John (Mary) Stow, Shawnee, and Mrs. Ivan (Ida) Leighty, Ulysses, Kansas; 12 grandchildren; and one great – grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one daughter.

A Celebration of Life for Lorine C. Vatterodt, age 98, of Enid, is 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2017, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The Reverend Vernon Lee will officiate; burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Lorine was born March 24, 1919, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Grover and Georgia (Pearsoll) Leftwich, and passed away Monday, November 6, 2017, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Lorine lived through the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. She married George Carl Vatterodt April 30, 1936, in Winfield, Kansas. They made their home in Oklahoma City until moving to Enid in 1966. She and George had three children, Shirley Ann, Clara June, and Sharon Lois. Lorine was very involved with her children and grandchildren, and she especially loved animals, specifically dogs; poodles, Pomeranians, cocker spaniels, and shelties. She was an avid OU fan. She loved watching the OU Sooner Football games, but she loved all OU sports. Lorine was a member of the First Baptist Church of Enid.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Georgia Leftwich; her husband, George Vatterodt; daughter, Shirley Ann Goff; grandson, Steven Siegfried; great-grandson, Zachary Foltz; three brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Clara June Faulk of Enid; Sharon Lois Williams of Enid; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Memorials in Lorine's name may be made to the Enid SPCA or FurEver Friends, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
