Graveside service for Mary Esther Vasquez, 92, of Enid, will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, at Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, with the Rev. Alvin Dalton officiating. Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Mary was born April 13, 1921, to Joseph and Rosa Rice Reyes in Rusk, Okla., and died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at her home in Enid, surrounded by her family.

She grew up in Enid. Mary attended business college and later Beeches Beauty College. On Sept. 16, 1939, Mary married Robert Vasquez in Enid, where they made their home. She owned and operated Personality Beauty Shop in downtown Enid for many years. Mary was an artist, and loved music and working with her flowers and plants

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; grandson, Scott Young; her parents; and brothers, Frank and John Reyes.

Mary is survived by her children and their spouses, Mary and Roy Holmes of Mooresville, Ind., and Gary and Roseanne Vasquez of Enid; brother, Joe Reyes of Arizona; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
