William H. Van valkenburg, 1015 W. Oklahoma, died Sunday in a local hospital after an illness of about two months duration.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM today in the First Baptist Church with Dr. M. F. Ewton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, he came to Enid in 1910 and had lived here until his death.

For over 25 years he was connected with the George E. Failing Supply Company. He retired five years ago.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Edna, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Powell Pendergraft, Garland, Texas; Mrs. Gordon Fuller, Enid; Mrs. Tom Evans, Birkenfeld, Germany; and Mrs. Gene Lucas, Shawnee; and 10 grandchildren.

Also, one sister, Mrs. E. H. Clampitt, Enid; and one brother, R. E. Van Valkenburg, Dallas, Texas.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home until 1 PM Tuesday and the casket will not be opened following the service.

Pallbearers will be Robert M. Greer, Julian Stetnish, Gerald Wilkins, Fred H. Scroggin, Garrie Dillon, and William O. Green.
