John W. VanDusen

John W. VanDusen, 62, 625 E. Cedar, died Monday evening in a local hospital. His funeral will be at 10:30 AM Thursday in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating at the rites will be John James, Chaplain/Minister. VanDusen Will Be Buried in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

VanDusen was born July 6, 1921, in Sugar Creek, Missouri, the son of Warren and Dora VanDusen. In 1935 he moved with his family to a farm near Loyal. After graduating from Omega High School, he farmed in that area for several years.

He and Mabel Rich were married in 1939. They moved to Enid in 1955, where he worked for Sears as a technical service representative from 1955 until his retirement in 1976.

VanDusen was a member of the Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Mabel of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Art (Susan) Rodriguez, Canton; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a brother, Raymond VanDusen of Laurie, Missouri. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Cancer Division, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
