January 18, 1928 - February 11, 2020

A Celebration of Life service for Berneita R. Van Buskirk age 92 of Enid will be 2:00 pm Friday at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Dan Barrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Berneita was born January 18, 1928 in Enid to William J. B Bennet and Mary Lucile Cooper and passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 in St. Mary's Regional Hospital. She attended and graduated from Garber High School in 1947. Berneita married Harley Van Buskirk on August 1, 1948, in Garber, OK and he passed away June 28, 2011. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone for a short time. She was a wife and a housewife. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and attended the Cowboy Church.

She is survived by her son, Russell and wife Marilyn Van Buskirk of Enid, OK; daughter, Rosalie and husband Bob Evans of Billings, OK; son, Rodney and wife Leslye Van Buskirk of Enid, OK; eight grandkids; 21 great grandkids, four great-great grandkids and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by parents, a daughter, Lou Ella Van Buskirk, a sister LaDean Aaron, and a great granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation- Cancer Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
