Memorial Park Cemetery


Joe B. Vacin, 59, died Thursday afternoon in a local hospital. Funeral services will be 2 PM in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home with Dr. Horce C. Casey officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

He was born March 7, 1908 at Salt Fork. He moved to Enid to attend high school and graduated in 1928. He served with the U. S. Army during World War I I and was a long – time employee at Vance Air Force Base.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his widow, Helen, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Bettie) McDaniel, Norman; four sisters, Mrs. Toma (Vera) Patrick, Glenview, Illinois, Mrs. James (Rose) McPherson, Aurora, Missouri, Miss Lydia Vacin, Enid and Washington, D. C., and Mrs. Emma Jo Preston, Orolville, California; one brother, Victor J. Vacin, Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren.
