September 25, 1936 - October 10, 2023

The graveside service for Shirley Voelker, 87 year-resident will be 1:00PM Monday, October 16, 2023 in the Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Rev. Jesse Johnson officiating.

Shirley was born September 25, 1936 in Pierce City, Missouri to Richard and Enola (Seufert) Hinds and died Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in Greenbrier Nursing Home. She attended local schools and graduated with the class of 1954. On April 9, 1956 she married Bob Voelker in Pierce city where the couple made their home. They couple moved to Enid and started their family there.

Shirley worked for a time at Bob's Cone Corner and also owned and operated a home day care for several years. She was a long-time member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook, liked game shows, and enjoyed gardening, but mostly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Kim Brittain and husband Larry of Enid, her son Mike Voelker and wife Ann of Branson, MO. 5 grandchildren; Lauren Grayson, Cheyenne Voelker, Stefan Maxx Grayson, J.T. and Kerstyn Voelker. One great-granddaughter Lily Weaver. One brother Bill Hinds, and two sisters, Sandy Hunnel and Patty Moore, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Bob and two sisters, Doroty Hinds and Linda Hinds.

Memorials may be made to either Trinity Baptist Church or OMRF(Breast Cancer Division).
