Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, with Rev Pat Sutherlin officiating. Military Honors will be by the U.S. Army. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Dale was born to Homer E. and Mary L. [Hayworth] Tremain on November 29, 1920, in Enid, and passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016, in Enid. Dale grew up in Enid, and graduated from Enid High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. After his discharge, he returned to Enid. On September 8, 1945, Dale married Dorothy M. Downing in Douglas, Oklahoma. He worked for Champlin Refinery for many years. Dale also did carpentry work for others. He was a member of Christian Church of the Covenant. Dale is survived by his daughter, Vicky Lynn Sugg of Enid; one grandchild, Jason Bingham and wife Angie; two great-grandchildren, Myranda and Jaiden Bingham; and one brother Bob Tremain of Shawnee. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (May 10, 2016, son Bruce Tremain; three sisters, Glenda Haynes, Velma Haven, and Delma Waters; and brother Tom Tremain. Memorials may be made to Christian Church of the Covenant. |

Tremain, 88, of Enid, will be 2:00 PM, Monday, May 16, 2016, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat Sutherlin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Dorothy was born January 14, 1928, in Douglas, Oklahoma to Wright D. and Rose Marie [Nichols] Downing and passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at her home in Enid. Dorothy grew up in Douglas and graduated from Douglas High School. On September 8, 1945, she married Dale Tremain, and they made their home in Enid. She worked at St. Mary's Hospital as supervisor over the computer department, retiring in the late 1980’s. Dorothy was an active member of the Christian Church of the Covenant. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and son Bruce Tremain. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 71 years Dale; daughter Vicky Sugg of Enid; grandson Jason Bingham [Angie]; 2 great grandchildren Myranda and Jaiden Bingham; and sister Mary Jane Downing of Enid. Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris Funeral home to Christian Church of the Covenant. |
© Anderson~Burris Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma April 2007 February 18, 1931 ~ April 11, 2007 The funeral for Fred Thomas Tremain, 76, will be 10 a.m. today at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev Jeff Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was born February 18, 1931, in Enid to Fred T. and Thelma Leona Pinkerton Tremain and died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Greenbrier Village He married Janna Aars July 12, 1956, in Oakland, Calif. He worked for the defense system as a technical illustrator until his retirement. His job took him across the United States. The returned to make Enid their home in the late 1980s. Surviving are his wife, Janna; two children, Ronald and Nancy Tremain; and one grandchild. |
